ABOUT ME
Alexa “Lexie” Baker is currently an Education Abroad Program Coordinator at Kennesaw State University. She earned her Master of Arts in Integrated Global Communication in December of 2021. In May of 2020, she graduated from Georgia College & State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Strategic Communication, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Culture, Religion and Society, and a minor in International Studies. While getting her B.A. in Mass Communication, Lexie learned she loved design and showing her creative side.
During her time at Georgia College, she participated in two study abroad programs which helped shape her into the person she is and developed a unique set of skills. Immersing herself in another culture and learning abroad refined her problem-solving skills, communication skills, and adaptation skills, and ignited her passion for other cultures. After her international experience, she joined the GC Study Abroad Team as an intern to help market the programs, run social media accounts, and help students find the programs right for them. In spring 2021, Lexie became a Program Development Intern in the KSU office of Global Education working to relaunch the Montepulciano, Italy KSU Educational Site after its shutdown due to COVID-19.
As of August 2021, Lexie is an Education Abroad Program Coordinator in the office of Global Education at Kennesaw State University. Studying abroad changed Lexie's perspective and goals, and she loves to help students find a way to experience new cultures, become culturally aware, and become global citizens. Lexie hopes to continue growing in international education.
